Rainey Reitman is the author of Transaction Denied: Big Finance’s Power to Punish Speech (Beacon 2026). A writer and digital rights advocate, she is the co-founder and board president of the Freedom of the Press Foundation and a veteran leader from the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), where she served for 11 years. Reitman also runs Groundwork Strategy, a nonprofit consulting service.
