HRDAG Welcomes 2026 HRDAG Human Rights Fellow and Intern
HRDAG is pleased to announce our newest summer intern and fellow: Corinne Hess joins us as a Human Rights Intern, and Larissa Arreola Moreno joins us as a Statistics and Human Rights Fellow. Corinne is currently earning a degree in computer science at the University of California, Berkeley, and Larissa is earning a master’s degree in statistics, also at the University of California, Berkeley.
Corinne is a development operations intern working closely with director of research Patrick Ball to understand HRDAG’s infrastructure and implementation. In her time with HRDAG, she is working on expanding HRDAG partners’ technical skills and building a language translation model for more accurate record linkage. Through this position, Corinne is developing her skills in the realm of development operations and systems administration while taking steps towards a career in human rights and technology. Larissa is assisting with coding, testing, and review in an international project that is confidential at the moment.
“I’m excited to be working with HRDAG because the work we do leverages technology to serve real people and communities,” says Corinne. “I think it is important that technicians understand the real world implications of their work, and I’m looking forward to learning what that awareness looks like in the field from this team.”
Larissa says, “I’m super excited about learning and collaborating with a lot of experienced and caring people, while also doing my share in such an important project.”
Executive director Megan Price says, “HRDAG has been training the next generation of data scientists working in human rights for decades. We’re excited to have Corinne and Larissa on board, and we’re looking forward to learning from each other.”
