HRDAG Welcomes New Data Science Fellow
HRDAG is pleased to announce our newest Data Science Fellow, Alanna Flores, who has joined the organization as part of the Technologists for Global Transformation program at Schmidt Futures.
Before joining HRDAG, she worked at The Washington Post on their election model and at Recidiviz, a tech nonprofit focused on criminal justice reform. She has also conducted research at the Stanford Computational Policy Lab and developed tools for Open Source Wellness, a community-based health program.
Alanna holds an M.S. in Management Science and Engineering and a B.S. in Computer Science with a minor in Human Rights from Stanford University.
“The common theme in all my work and research is leveraging data to understand policy impacts and better support marginalized communities,” says Alanna. “HRDAG is an opportunity for me to continue doing that work with even greater statistical rigor alongside incredibly talented and thoughtful people.”
“We’re thrilled that we can take advantage of the Schmidt Futures program and work with such a talented data science fellow,” says Megan Price, HRDAG’s executive director. “Alanna is a great addition to HRDAG and has already brought so much insight to our work.”
