Alanna Flores is a Data Scientist who has joined HRDAG as part of the Technologists for Global Transformation program at Schmidt Futures. She was with HRDAG as a Data Science Fellow from March through August, 2024.

She previously worked at The Washington Post on their election model and at Recidiviz, a tech nonprofit focused on criminal justice reform. She has also conducted research at the Stanford Computational Policy Lab and developed tools for Open Source Wellness, a community-based health program. In September, 2024, Alanna became an analyst at The New York Times.

Alanna holds an M.S. in Management Science and Engineering and a B.S. in Computer Science with a minor in Human Rights from Stanford University.

Our work has been used by truth commissions, international criminal tribunals, and non-governmental human rights organizations. We have worked with partners on projects on five continents.
