Announcing New HRDAG Advisory Board Member

cynthia conti-cook board memberHRDAG is delighted to announce a new addition to our Advisory Board, Cynthia Conti-Cook, who came on board in March, 2025. She joins Elizabeth Eagen, Alex Hanna, William Isaac, and Paul Wesson.

Cynthia is currently Director of Research & Policy at Collaborative Research Center for Resilience, where she leads work on digital public infrastructures, public sector procurement, and government’s evolving uses of digital technologies.

She has worked with HRDAG for many years, and notably helped to make the connection between HRDAG and Chicago journalism nonprofit Invisible Institute. That collaboration began several years ago, and in that time HRDAG has assisted the Institute in several projects that advance police accountability.

“Our relationship with Cynthia goes back quite a while, from her time with NYC Legal Aid. She’s got a keen sense about how to pursue projects that examine police misconduct and police accountability,” says Executive Director Megan Price. “I’m very much looking forward to working with her on the HRDAG Advisory Board.”

“For over ten years, I have learned so much from HRDAG about data collection and documenting harm,” says Cynthia. “It is an honor to support their creative and rigorous team by serving on their board.”

We are so pleased by the growth of our Advisory Board and by the dedication, expertise, and wisdom they bring. As always, we’re indebted to our Advisory Board and our funders for their support and vision.

Our work has been used by truth commissions, international criminal tribunals, and non-governmental human rights organizations. We have worked with partners on projects on five continents.
